LINDEN TRAVERS

This under used beautiful brunette should have been a bigger star than the one or two leading roles she garnered allowed her to be. Started out as an ingenue under Carol Reed and also during the forties was the female foil in several comedies starring the likes of Tommy Trinder and George Formby. Also made a great villainess on occasion.

Born Florence Lindon Travers in 1913 she died 23 October 2001, her younger brother Bill Travers became a popular leading man of the fifties.
